I apologize for this one. I truly do. Perhaps I am missing something in this song that I will soon discover, causing a swift retraction of this entire post in my heinous wrongness. But, for now, something has to take the last slot, and this song has to be it. I could pretend to have examined and picked apart the songs on this album as much as the others in the. I like this song. I enjoy it for the few minutes it runs, and then I move on. I can remember hearing this is the early days of my Fiona education, before the proper awe and love of her creation set in, when listening felt more like rote exercises and less like catharsis. Apple has a knack for turning sonic elements usually associated with grace and lightness into blunt-force objects. In the meantime, Apple was busy rerecording much of the album with the producers Mike Elizondo and Brian Kehew and, occasionally, a session drummer by the name of Questlove , tweaking the songs until she was ready to share them with the public. The weightless title track is one of two Brion productions that remained on the album when it was finally released in October In recent years, Apple has become a role model to a younger generation of artists looking to navigate the music industry on their own terms.
The list below is a list of Fiona albums ordered by degrees of greatness. Here was someone who understood the intensity of teenage feelings but who had gained the necessary distance to view them as sort of silly. As she grows, we grow.
